PHITSANULOK  is one of the big province at the Lower North. The province is famous for the country’s most beautiful Buddha Image and unique scenery of houseboats along the river in the city.

Attractions

Wat Phra Sri Mahathat is the most important temple of this province. It houses the most beautiful Buddha Image called “Phra Phutta Chinarat” which was made by bronze in Ayutthaya period and it is also an original Buddha Image which King Rama V of Bangkok period ordered to made a replica in order to be the principle Buddha of Wat Benchamabophit – Temple of Marble – in Bangkok.
Houseboat is one of the symbols of this province, along the “NAN” river, it makes a unique scene to the tourist.
Boat Races, Phitsanulok long boat races are customarily staged during the first week-end of october on the Nan river
Phu Soi Dao National Park is home to the waterfalls, pine forests and wild flowers.
