Ayutthaya was
the old capital of Thai kingdom for 417 years. It boasts numerous
magnificent ruins. Such ruins indicate that Ayutthaya was one
of Indochina's most prosperous cities. Ayutthaya Historical Park
has been included in UNESCO list of World Heritage since December
13, 1991.
Attractions
Wat Mahathat was the temple where
the Lord of Buddha’s relics were enshrined.
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was the temple
which used for the ceremonies of the royal families.
Wat Yai Chaimonkol is the temple
where the big Chedi(one kind of pagodas), which built to be the
monument of the victory after Burmese, located.
Bang Pa-In Summer Palace is a fine
example of royal retreat which is famous for the grand architectures
from various countries.
